What a bunch of tossers. This latest derailment at Mile End proves that they are lazy, incompetent cowboys. We live just around the corner from a Central Line station that is being refurbished. It's way overdue, should have been finished ages ago.
But every day when I drive past I see at least 7 or 8 Metronet "workers" sitting on the wall outside, smoking and eating or drinking tea. The nearest bakery is doing a roaring trade. I am seriously thinking of contacting the Evening Standard so that they can come down and take some pics of these idle bastards.
Livingstone is right, Metronet is robbing the tube network of money, and really taking the piss.
